Eua isn’t really doing any manipulating though. All of Satoko’s actions and decisions have been her own. Aside from sharing her power and explaining the rules, all Eua’s done is sit back and enjoy the show while Satoko does her thing.

There is no justification to stay in the way of someone's happiness, especially when its your friend! Satoko should have been a normal and mature person and give up on Rika! This part of satoko is pure evil as the reminiscence of good is dead within satoko. she's not a bitch through on through when she was in the og series as she had both her negative traits and positive traits whereas in gou and sotsu she's pure unadulterated evil shown by the murder of the other satoko a couple of episodes ago.

Putting all of that aside, whether Satako did this or feels that, we saw the Witch kill the good part of Satako; that is just the writers/animators confirming for us that the Witch is hell bent and not planning on at all backtracking because for lack of better terms, we saw the Witch overpower all the good will that was left. That was confirmation for us that the Witch no longer has any doubts or hesitations as to what it is left, all of what made Satako "human" is gone now.

Really in all essence, we can just say that the Witch is a person who looks like Satako and has access to Satako's memories, but it is not Satako one bit. Think Changlings.

In higurashi kai at the end of one of the episodes there was a joke segment where teppei asked what are those things on hanyuu's head. So i guess they appear as is but noone questions it lol.
